New York, NY — CAMP BROADWAY® invites experienced teen dancers, ages 14-17, to enroll in their brand new program, Camp Broadway Dance. The program will take place in New York City from February 16 through 18. Teen dancers will build on their skillset and leave with an understanding of what it takes to be a musical theater triple threat. The program will focus on the works of Tony and Oscar Award winning Director/Choreographer Bob Fosse, and will include an outing to Chicago the Musical.  Director and choreographer Sue Delano will lead the program along with musical director Jack Lee. Additional classes and workshops will be taught by visiting professionals with Broadway credits.

Participants must have prior training in ballet, tap and jazz. Classes will explore traditional dance styles in order to define and contextualize “Broadway Dance.” Classes will also allow theater-lovers with extensive dance training to develop proficiency in singing and acting for stage.

“Musical theater fans come to Broadway through several avenues.” Said Camp Broadway’s Managing Director, Melissa Caolo. “Some are natural triple threats, some excel at singing or acting. And some excel at dance. These young dancers long to hone their skills to meet the styles of Broadway greats. They are also striving toward developing their skills in acting and singing to inform their dancing and give them a competitive edge as a performer. Camp Broadway’s latest offering, Camp Broadway Dance delivers all of this to the young dancer.”

To register for the program, those interested should visit campbroadway.com.
