Matt Cruse is living his dreams. He is working at the helm of an airship, he is spending time with the eccentric Kate de Vries and he is attending the airship academy. His life in Paris is great. The French are working on a tower to space; building is going well until a group of protesters attempt to bomb it. Canada takes this chance to be the first into space. Matt is invited into the program, but there’s no guarantee he’ll make it through. But if he does he’ll set out on a new journey into the sky, a journey to the stars.

The third book in Kennth Oppel’s Airbon series, Starclimber is my favourite. It pulls in all the stories from the other two books and delivers a great ending. Oppel is one of my favorite authors for young adults. His Victorian-era world is a great setting for his stories. In every book Matt and Kate reach higher into the sky and discover something new.

I suggest this book to anyone who had read the first two books in the series, Airborn and Skybreaker.
